JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be a expert communciator, heavily involved in developing and closing new sales. A technically experienced individual with excellent knowledge of delivery best practice will excel. This is the beginning of further growth plans and objectives.

The pre sales consultant will act as a technical/delivery expert with the task of working closely with sales teams to ensure that the services being offered can be tailored to meet the customers’ requirements.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • 3 years plus experience working within a technical pre sales position
  • Must have experience in software delivery best practice and the software development life cycle
  • An ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand
  • Previous experience working for a competitor in a similar position would be a strong advantage


MAIN DUTIES:

  • Working closely with the sales team on proposals and pitches for business
  • Attending meetings with business development managers and acting as a technical/delivery expert
  • Putting together business cases for the sales teams to support their proposals
  • Working closely and collaboratively with customers to build value within the sales process and build effective solutions
  • Ensuring that the company’s service offering can deliver on the customer’s requirements
  • Ability to network and build confidence with potential customers
  • Working closely with customers to understand and capture requirements
  • Presenting proposals to customers alongside members of the sales team
  • Producing detailed costings for customers and ensuring the contract is profitable
