The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the database administration and release management of multiple software application platforms, ensuring the highest operating standards and environment availability is maintained. You will need to have the technical appetite, desire and enthusiasm to lead how our clients use the application suite across the organisation, ensuring they have suitable levels of data governance and controls around their processes.


As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of our clients’ databases. You will be involved in the planning and development of the database, as well as in troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users and work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Your role is to ensure that our clients’ application suite data remains consistent across the database while supporting the migration to Oracle, monitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to front-end users.


The successful Database Administrator will have a proven record of operating in a similar role with strong experience of mapping out the conceptual design for planned databases, refining the logical design to be translated into specific data models and installing new versions of the database systems.


  • Excellent experience of SQL databases
  • Familiarity with the main data manipulation languages and the principles of database design
  • Experience with computer operating systems and database technology (design, software and structure)
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business requirements of IT
  • Good understanding of information legislation and GDPR
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and technical documentation
  • Problem-solving attitude
