Amdaris has been shortlisted in four categories for the Computing Digital Technology Leadership Awards 2020: Digital Team of the Year, Digital Transformation of the Year, Best Place to Work in Digital, and Amdaris CTO Mihai Cernei for CTO of the Year.
CTO of the Year
CTO Mihai Cernei is recognised for his vital role in helping Amdaris succeed with his shortlisting for the CTO of the Year Award. Unusually for a CTO, Mihai takes a leadership role in developing talent at Amdaris, in particular heading up the company’s highly sought after internship programme.
Mihai’s competition for the award includes CTOs from Rackspace, MediaCom, and Publicis Sapient.
Digital Team of the Year
This award recognises a particularly important project for a significant new client which began in the summer of 2019. After helping a major oil and gas service provider migrate its critical apps from land-based servers to the cloud, Amdaris was invited to provide ongoing managed service support to a large suite of business-critical software. This new project led to the opening of the new Amdaris office in Dubai, and the addition of Managed Services as a new Amdaris core service.
Other shortlisted companies in the Digital Team of the Year category include Cognizant, Refinitiv, and the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Digital Transformation of the Year
Amdaris’ expertise in digital transformation is partly rooted in Amdaris’ own experience digitally transforming itself. The nomination in the Digital Transformation of the Year category recognises the work initiated by co-CEOs Andy Rogers and Vlad Nanu to rebuild Amdaris after assuming control of the company in 2016. The resulting system, known as “Advance,” provides 360° views of every company activity, and has moved beyond being a simple management tool into a total digitisation of Amdaris’ company culture.
Other shortlisted companies in the Digital Transformation of the Year category include AXA, Ted Baker, and British Gas.
The Best Place to Work
Shortlisting recognises Amdaris’ commitment to a positive company culture, staff development, investment in staff wellbeing, and ongoing commitment to encouraging women to pursue careers in tech.
Amdaris are in the category for large companies (250+ employees) and face stiff competition from DWP Digital, Workiva, and Covéa Insurance.
Vlad Nanu, Amdaris Co-CEO
Speaking of the shortlist appearances, Amdaris Co-CEO Vlad Nanu said, “It is really gratifying to be recognised by Computing in four different categories, especially considering the competition.
Being shortlisted in 4 categories demonstrates the multidimensional value Amdaris brings to its customer in the digital transformation journey. This recognition will inspire us to achieve even more in the future and always serve our clients at the highest level.’
