Here at Amdaris we are ALWAYS LEADING. NEVER FOLLOWING
That’s why we are ready to support your business as it faces the up to the challenges and changes in IR35. But what are these changes?
Changes to the IR35 status for Private Sector workers are coming into force on 6th April 2020.
- The Government announced in 2018 that IR35 rules will be reformed within the Private Sector from April 2020, in measures that will mirror the changes introduced within the Public Sector in April 2017
- One noticeable difference, however, is that these rules will only apply to medium and large businesses
- Under the latest IR35 reforms, private sector employers will now be responsible for assessing whether or not contractors need to pay income tax and national insurance contributions
- In 2017, the Government implemented a framework to further target perceived tax avoidance by off-payroll workers by introducing new IR35 assessment rules. This meant that rather than a contractor deciding their own IR35 status, the business paying the worker must assess whether an assignment is inside or outside of IR35
