We recently attended the Dubai World Insurance Congress and it was a truly exciting event; filled with great names and incredible opportunities to talk about our offering.
As part of establishing who we are and what we do, we invited Jumar Solutions to join us at the event, as it was a great opportunity to showcase how we have helped to build a technology solution within insurance.
Business Needs
Jumar is a well-established IT solutions and recruitment business, providing its global client base with a combination of digital transformation and resourcing solutions.
One of their clients, The Shipowners’ Club, insures more than 33,000 small and specialist vessels, through a global distribution network of nearly 700 brokers. The Shipowners’ Club was mid-way through the construction of an end-to-end policy management system, and the incumbent supplier was experiencing various issues with the programme.
Jumar were invited to take over the responsibility of redeveloping this platform, and given the long-term nature of the engagement, collaborated with Amdaris to provide significant technical capability and capacity.
Our Solution
We supported Jumar by augmenting the software development team. We collaborated with Jumar to develop an open partnership, giving them the autonomy and opportunity to scale resources quickly and flexibly.
Jumar was able to deliver against its clients demanding requirements, both on time and on budget. Additionally, the success of the project has resulted in productizing the insurance software created for Shipowners.
The software enables complete audibility and transparency for members and brokers, giving them confidence that their insurer is maximising the use of technology in providing a first-class service to its clients.
Claims handling is accelerated and the customer experience is improved – with a number of additional enhancements in the product pipeline to continue developing its scope and functionality.
