Amdaris Directors Profiles
Paul Brennan – Chairman
Paul has held numerous Executive Chair and CEO roles at private and publicly owned companies, with a particular focus on growing early-stage businesses into global and US markets. He is currently Chair of Sunlight.io, Talmix, Cyan Forensics, and OnApp. He was Chair at platform software provider JHC prior to their sale to global financial technology company FNZ, and was Senior Independent Director at Relayware through their merger with Zift in the US.
Andy Rogers – Co-Chief Executive Officer
Andy began his career in 2003 where he started a digital web agency, before founding Amdaris in 2009. Since taking the reins as Co-CEO in 2016 alongside Vlad Nanu, Andy has drawn on his 15+ year career in management to lead an exciting growth phase for Amdaris. He spearheaded the revisioning and rebranding of the business establishing it as one of the fastest-growing UK software development companies. Andy is a keen runner and enjoys traveling the world for pleasure as well as visiting clients, partners and our exceptional delivery centers.
Vlad Nanu – Co-Chief Executive Officer
Before co-founding Amdaris in 2009, Vlad led software teams at firms in Moldova and Silicon Valley before moving to Bristol in 2007. He took up the role of Co-CEO in 2016 alongside Andy Rogers. Vlad uses his 15+ year expertise in nearshore operations and management to deliver large-scale software programs, driving successful delivery, client satisfaction, and company profitability. Vlad is a passionate woodturner and motorcyclist and enjoys hitting the road to explore new places.
Alex Garfitt – Non-executive Director
Alex is one of Amdaris’ Non-Executive Directors. He also sits on the board of a number of other technology and consumer brand businesses backed by BGF including DevOps Group, SLG, Ruroc and Off-Piste Wines. Prior to BGF, Alex spent five years at KPMG in its Corporate Finance team.
James Skade – Non-executive Director
James joined the board as a non-executive Director in 2020 following an investment of capital by BGF into Amdaris. James is an investor based in BGF’s Bristol office. In this role, James works with a number of BGF portfolio companies including Amdaris where he works collaboratively with our existing board to help shape the strategic direction and growth of our business. Prior to joining BGF, James qualified as a Chartered Accountant with EY where he worked in the corporate finance team.
Dominic Bridgman – Sales Director
Dominic is Amdaris’ Sales Director. His main responsibilities include coaching and leading the sales team, and maintaining a high-performance sales culture. Creating the most valuable solutions possible for our clients is always the main objective. Prior to joining Amdaris, Dominic spent over twenty years leading sales and delivery teams at organisations such as IBM, Informatica, and Trillium Software.
Peter Wilson – Marketing Director
Peter is Amdaris’ Marketing Director. He heads up the marketing function, covering brand, public relations, campaigns, content, and demand generation. He has spent more than twenty years in the field of digital marketing and has worked for brands such as Sage, Classic FM, CNN, Teamspirit, and Innovate UK.
Simon Catley – Service Delivery Director
Simon is Amdaris’ Service Delivery Director. He heads up delivery to our clients and ensures their expectations are exceeded by managing the composition and performance of our delivery teams. Simon has been working in the field of bespoke software professional services for over thirty years, during which time he has worked in technical roles for Accenture and leadership roles for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Logica, and Civica.
Mihai Cernei – Group Chief Technology Officer
Mihai is Amdaris’ Chief Technology Officer. He is responsible for determining the company’s strategies for technological development, and ensuring all technologies within projects are used efficiently, profitably, and securely. He also drives the discovery and implementation of new technologies and services that will help evolve Amdaris’ offer to its clients. His previous experience includes sectors such as peer-to-peer payment, construction and investment management. He holds a PhD in Physics.
Jamie Gibson – Group Finance Director
Jamie is Amdaris’ Group Finance Director. He leads a team focused on managing the accounting and financial control functions. He also oversees strategic financial planning and corporate fundraising needed to drive a financial strategy for the profitable long-term growth of Amdaris. His career includes time at companies such as Capita, SunGard, IPWireless, and Cramer.
Anna Grier – Regional Director
Anna is the Centre Director of Amdaris Romania. She is responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining appropriate operating standards and principles across Amdaris Romania. She is also responsible for managing and supporting operational business functions including HR, Marketing, Finance. Her sector experience includes energy, recruitment and network technology.
Petru Haheu – Regional Director
Petru is the Centre Director of Amdaris Moldova. He is responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining appropriate operating standards and principles across Amdaris Moldova. He is also responsible for managing and supporting operational business functions including HR, Marketing, Finance. Prior to his 11 years with Amdaris, Peter worked within the charity sector.
Sarah Smyth – Company Secretary and Group Accountant
Sarah is Amdaris’ Company Secretary and Group Accountant. She supports the Co-CEOs and Group Finance Director with the financial management of UK operations and the co-ordination of financial information across all group companies. Previous companies include Serco and Avarto Finance.
